I am an experienced Science teacher, tutor, and former Head of Science, having taught for over 10 years in the classroom. I have a masters degree in Science education from Cambridge University. I am also an exam marker so I am well versed in understanding the skills and language needed for students to get full marks in exam questions. I now have three very young children and so have taken a hiatus from the classroom (since 2017) to care for my children full time. However I enjoy keeping up to date with the latest curricula and putting my vast experience to use by tutoring students most evenings and Saturdays when my husband is home.

I have experience in teaching (and tutoring) Years 7-11 in all sciences - Biology, Chemistry, Physics. I offer GCSE and iGCSE tutoring in all three subjects, as well as the combined science GCSE. My specialism is in Biology, and I teach and tutor Biology AS and A level, as well as for the International Baccalaureate (IB). I have experience in tutoring failing students to help them pass their exams, with quite a few achieving average or above average grades. Most of my tutees achieve at least two grade boundaries above their predicted grades. I also have helped more successful students achieve the high grades needed to gain acceptance into some of the world`s top universities.
