Alice H

Hello! My name is Alice. I tutor in Mathematics, Statistics and Philosophy up to A-level/IB standard and am currently reading for an MMathPhil in Mathematics and Philosophy at Merton College, Oxford University. I am an IB graduate (44/45, 777 in HL Maths, English Lit and Physics) and focus my teaching mainly on students from GCSE upwards. I can also offer tuition in Physics, English literature and German up to GCSE level.

I have previously tutored GCSE Mathematics (AQA and Edexcel) at both Foundation and Higher levels. I have also taught the Eton College scholarship papers. I also tutored IB Mathematics at both Higher and Standard levels, and have some informal experience with Maths Studies.

I tailor my lessons to the students needs. Typically, this means that I begin by looking over each topic, discussing practice questions with a student as well as getting a feel for how they think they are doing with a given topic. In Mathematics, I then usually proceed using practice questions, discussing general methods with students and then assisting students in applying methods which we discussed for themselves.
