I have been studying Spanish for 7 years now and I'm currently doing my Modern Languages and Cultures degree. I enjoy delving into different cultures as much as learning the language itself. So far my favourite part of my degree has been studying Latin American short stories and translating longer texts.
I'm friendly, enthusiastic and patient. I think the best way to learn languages is to accept the fact that you're going to make mistakes, learn from them and simply relax and have fun. When tutoring I tailor my methods of teaching to the individual to make sure my lessons are valuable and helpful.
I like to use my first lessons to discuss with the student what they would like to take out of my lessons, what they would like to focus on and assess their level. From there, I use the relevant Spanish curriculum to help them expand their knowledge of vocabulary, grammar and improve their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
Exam Board Experience
I have a lot of experience with the AQA exam board as I took my exam with them in summer of 2018. I'm always more than happy to look into different exam boards, using guidance and information supplied online, to make sure that what I'm teaching is relevant and will help my students perform well in their final exam.
Student Success Stories
So far I have helped A level students to prepare for speaking exams by practicing exam style questions, expanding their vocabulary and giving helpful tips. I am very excited to take on board more students and help them develop their language skills to their full potential.
