Biography
Hi! I'm a second year Dental Student, willing to help students with Maths, Chemistry and Biology up to A level.
Tutoring Experience
I have had 6 months experience tutoring a maths GCSE science student and a year 8 maths student. Both of these have been successful, with improvement seen in their performance and also their drive to succeed. I am up to date with the curriculum of Key stage 1, 2, 3 English and Maths, GCSE English, Maths and Sciences and A Level Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I am aware of the specifications and criteria of each of the exam boards for GCSE and A Level topics.
Lesson Planning
I have experience both tutoring but also coaching and instructing sailing, which has taught me lots on communication and the importance of planning, yet adapting to different learning styles and therefore teaching styles for effective tutoring. With my previous students, the sessions have involved a quiz to recap on general content knowledge, and the lessons were student led, allowing focus on what they find most challenging.
