Angharad P

Hi I’m Angharad! I’m a History graduate from Leicester University where I completed my Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees in History and Social History. I have rather an eclectic interest in the darker side of social history from the Victorian underground to the development of public health throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries.

I have tutored for ten years but tend to limit my commitments to ensure that each student receives the best possible experience. I can (very quickly) identify a student’s strengths and also what areas need development and gear the sessions towards these.

As a tutor, you can expect well-planned sessions, fully resourced and geared towards the development of historical skills and targeted towards the examination criteria. There is also a little bit of humour thrown in...

I have been Head of History and Politics at a successful independent school and have thirteen years teaching experience behind me. I am a GCSE and A level examiner for both AQA and Edexcel and am a ‘Team Leader’ for AQA GCSE History; a role which I absolutely love. As well as having an excellent all round Historical knowledge, I have taught the following modules to a high level: Weimar and Nazi Germany Inter war years and causes Of WW2 Migration and Empire The History of Medicine Russia during the 20th Century The European Reformation The Tudors The War in Vietnam The Cold War The history of warfare
