I am a PGCE qualified teacher who graduated from Oxford with a degree in French. I am in my fifth year of teaching and currently work at a private school in Bishop's Stortford. As a currently practising teacher, I am up to date with the newest GCSE and A Level specifications and have a very good understanding of what is expected of students at all levels. I offer personalised French tuition from KS3 all the way up to degree.

I have been tutoring alongside my teaching for over 5 years. I have coached students at both GCSE and A Level.

Prior to beginning lessons with a new student, I ask them to complete a small task in French. The task varies depending on the key stage and needs of the student but usually consists of a series of sentences for the student to translate, with the difficulty of the sentences increasing as the student progresses through the task. This allows me to guage the student's current level of French and also to identify any gaps in their knowledge. Lessons will then be individually tailored following this. Lessons will build on one another, with vocabulary and grammar being regularly revisited to allow a student to fully grasp a concept before moving on. I am also happy to provide work for students to complete outside of lessons if this is desired.
