I am a recent graduate upon studying Actuarial Mathematics and I have a recent experience with kids and young adults from different ethnic backgrounds due to an Internship I've done the last Summer. I have taught 3 classes during this time in Secondary school and the results at the end were exceptional, I was very pleased as I've noticed the improvement through my teaching on my students’ work.

The past Summer I got an internship to work at the Hill side High School in Bootle, where I was an assistant in teaching Mathematics to three classes. Some of my responsibilities was to work collaboratively with other professionals and staff, also engaging students in creative problem - based learning but most importantly maintaining a safe environment that is sufficient for learning. I have also done a week of volunteering in South Africa where I was an assistant in the class as well and answered any relevant questions that students had whilst offering help whenever possible and keep the lesson interesting and engaging.

A daily lesson plan is done by me based on how the student will be more motivated to learn, using techniques that are easily understandable by each student. As these may vary, I am flexible to approach different methodologies, for instance giving more examples (practical approach), explaining in more detail about what we are studying for and try and visualise things to make it more realistic and relatable. I can teach up to A Level degree as I have done mine a couple of years ago. In regard to Modern Greek, as a native speaker that has sat the GCSEs and A - Level achieving As. I am confident in translating, explaining the meaning of words and phrases, help with structuring and writing essays, analysing poems.
