I am a qualified science teacher with a PhD in biochemistry and a degree in biology. I have many years experience of teaching biology and chemistry, both in the classroom and 1-2-1 tuition both online and in person. I am passionate about science and I hope to pass this on to my students. I have written courses, assessments and produced resources for a diverse range of chemistry and biology qualifications.

I have a wealth of experience of tutoring both biology and chemistry to GCSE level and key stage 3 science. I have been a science teacher in various schools and colleges teaching 11 year olds and older. This included teaching all different abilities and towards various qualifications. I have tutored pupils in their own home and online.

I plan all of my lessons and resources catering for the specific needs of the student. This is completed in collaboration with the student to identify their learning needs and aspirations. Ideally, this will lead to a sequence of lessons targeting specific objectives. All students are provided with relevant notes and/or worksheets to support the lesson's objectives. Lesson planning includes an emphasis on engaging subject content, and to provide key examination skills. My first lesson usually involves an assessment and I will set homework regularly.
