I completed a Biomedical Sciences degree at Queen Mary University of London, with a First Class Honours. I have been tutoring various subjects for over 3 years privately and at a tuition centre. I am passionate about teaching biology and helping my students meet their goals.
I have tutored Biology at GCSE and A-Level for various exam boards.
My teaching method is purely based on your child's needs. Some children are visual learners whereas others learn by completing many activities. I prefer to demonstrate the concept on my whiteboard before giving questions for the child to attempt. I work following the current curriculum and like to use exam questions to reinforce understanding of newly learnt topics. I plan all lessons out with powerpoints and past paper questions. Moreover, I ensure that I am organised and set out a clear lesson structure. I also give my students a taste of questions from different exam boards to increase their understanding of a topic and to enhance their exam technique. This has proven to be very useful in the past and many of my students have enjoyed learning topics through this method.
Exam Board Experience
I studied Edexcel Biology at school, but have experience teaching AQA and OCR-A biology.
