Biography
2 years experience tutoring GCSE Maths. I go through a process of teaching new content, then collaborative work with myself and my tutee and finally independent and thoughtful exercises and tasks to help the ideas and content sink in, allowing a deep understanding of the content.
Tutoring Experience
I have had 2 years of experience tutoring 2 students GCSE Maths and helped them to meet and exceed their target grades.
Lesson Planning
I am flexible in the content I am tutoring, whether the student asks for guidance and help in a particular area or whether they prefer me to set out a plan on what content I am tutoring. I believe that discussing and working through content/questions sets a great foundation for understanding but I also give questions for the student to work through on their own, which is the main way of assessing progress.
