Ebere I

I graduated from Biomedical Science at the University of Birmingham and I am now studying Graduate Entry Medicine at the same university. I have experience tutoring maths and English for children aged 4-15 and tutoring GCSE maths. I would love to share my scientific knowledge with others and I strive to make my lessons engaging so my tutees get the most out of the experience and can achieve their full potential.

I have experience as a maths and English tutor for children aged 4-15. This involved supporting children to complete maths and English tasks and providing verbal and written constructive feedback to the children and their parents or guardians. I also have experience as a Maths Mentor where I assisted students to achieve their maths GCSE.

All my lessons will be tailored to my tutees and the national curriculum or the exam board guidance will be followed. Lessons will begin with going through a concept in part of the curriculum/exam board where information will be given and relevant questions answered. When answering questions, firstly tutees will be fully supported, then prompted and finally tutees will attempt to answer questions independently. Mark schemes will also be discussed to understand how to approach these questions. Next in the lesson, topics tutees have been struggling with that week will be discussed to increase their understanding in that topic. Tutees will then share their progress completing any goals they have set for themselves and any and all progress will be celebrated. Finally, the lesson will be evaluated to consolidate the knowledge gained and goals will be set for the next lesson.
