Enthusiastic second year medical student with A-level grades A*A*AA and eleven GCSEs (grades A*-A). Obtained a bronze award in the British Biology Olympiad 2018, gold award in the Senior Mathematical Challenge 2018, and went on to compete in the Senior Kangaroo. Has 1 year of experience working as a maths tutor for American grade 8 level and more than 9 months as an A-level tutor, both with in person and online lessons. As first year rep of my medical school’s dance society, I often have to teach choreographies to members with no previous dance experience. This involves me making sure the whole class is on the same page and asking if any dance moves need to be clarified. I hope I can make learning as enjoyable as the feeling you get when you perfect a dance move, and that you achieve the grade you want.
I am a second medical student, and I completely understand how harsh the secondary schooling system can be and how difficult it is to also apply to universities. Fortunately, tutoring is just up my alley, and I have been tutoring for almost 2 years now, and have been helping my own peers with difficult concepts for longer. I also have experience teaching beginners how to sail and also teaching dance choreographies in my university's dance society. Together, we can achieve the grade you want.
Active learning is the most effective way to truly understand a subject. There is no use in me just telling you how to solve a problem. Instead, I will help you form the links between concepts by asking questions, so you are able to come up with the answer yourself. This means you will be able to solve similar problems in the future when I am not there to help. I am patient and understanding, so if you don't understand something the first round I will simply adjust my method of teaching to work for you.
