Still being in the education system allows me to have a great understanding of the current curriculum and teaching styles, with this I can adapt my lessons to suit the needs of the student and to develop specific language skills (oral, written, auditive and reading). I am currently studying in the University of Chester so I am aware of the struggles that come with learning a new language and can share my tips and revision methods to help overcome them. Having just completed my year abroad in Barcelona I can assure that having the chance to practise the skills that you have developed makes it all worth it and gives a huge amount of gratification, which is something I want to help others experience.

During my placement in Costa Rica I volunteered in a local school where I taught children from the ages 7-16. I have also returned to my own high school to help out with preparation for GCSE exams.

Lesson planning will vary depending on the requirements of the student. I am able to prepare worksheets surrounding the topic area that the student wants to improve the most (grammar formations, vocabulary range etc). Lessons can also involve helping the student with homework or coursework (GCSE/A-LEVEL).
