Gawain A

With an A* in A-Level Economics and experience tutoring, students can feel confident that I would be able to help them achieve the ideal grade in the subject. I am passionate about my subject and will always try to make the teaching enjoyable and interesting. Lessons will involve students asking questions on anything from essay structure, subject topics and timing techniques (the most difficult thing). Moreover I have the experience, knowledge and skill to support A-Level Economics students and look forward to helping students achieve their grade goals.

I have tutored as the Economics Ambassador at my college and have since helped Year 1 students through the University in my second year.

Lessons will involve students asking questions on anything from essay structure, subject topics and timing techniques and me helping them through any issues. I have found as a tutor that rarely students struggle with the content, but at A-Level what matters is essay structure and timing. Moreover I will always emphasise this in my lessons - all new material will aim to improve students' writing ability as this is how the top marks are reached. Depending on how far students are in their Economics understanding I will also implement timed writing to mimic exams.

I am familiar with the Edexcel Exam Board.

My A-Level students (when I was Economics Ambassador) have all gone on to Russel Group Universities. and are enjoying the fruit of their labours in their first years. The First Year I tutored this year went into their exams 10 times more confident and though waiting for their final exam results smashed their December exams with only 1sts and 2nds.
