I am an organised and hard-working science teacher. I have experience teaching GCSE Science (Triple and Combined) and A Level biology (AQA and OCR exam boards). Colleagues would describe me as being very enthusiastic and energetic during my lessons which I always try to make interesting while also focusing on using lots of past paper questions and improving exam technique. I believe in challenging and pushing students in order to achieve their maximum potential; I do this by creating strong relationships with students and encouraging them to challenge themselves, particularly in their weaker areas. After graduating from Lancaster University (rated as a top 10 university in all three league tables) with a 2:1 in Biological Sciences, I moved to Madrid for two years to teach English where I gathered my first experience in tutoring. I then completed my PGCE (rated as an outstanding teacher) in Cornwall at an 'outstanding school'. I currently work as a science teacher at a secondary school in Somerset and I have three years of tutoring students at GCSE and A level.

I have tutored 6 students for their GCSE's. All students have improved their grades since starting tutoring and surpassed their target grades. I have tutored 4 students for A level Biology with all making good progress.
