About Helen
Biography
I am a masters student in marine biology based in Southampton. As such I have experience in molecular biology, oceanography, zoology, ecology and anatomy of various creatures both marine and terrestrial. I also completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) in biology, chemistry, geography, English, maths and Spanish.
Tutoring Experience
I have worked mostly with students working towards the GCSE and IB exams, although I have some experience with the A levels.
Lesson Planning
In the first lesson we will go through the syllabus together and identify areas of most concern and work from there. The focus is on where you as a student are finding difficulties and needing support, and working through that with explanations, examples and questions. Once you feel confident in your abilities, we will then work on expanding and refining knowledge to identify where further marks could be obtained.
