About Jamal
Biography
I am an energetic and innovative Science Teacher dedicated to encouraging creativity and exploration in each student. I am adept at relaying science phenomena, engaging students in scientific discussions, and establishing and maintaining strong bonds with students, parents, and peers. I attended the University of Exeter and completed a bachelor’s in science in Exercise and Sports Science in which I achieved a 2:1 grade. As my interests in the sciences grew, I undertook a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education in Secondary Biology and achieved a merit grade upon completion. My teaching experience is vast where I have gained experience teaching in the classroom, both primary and secondary, throughout my studies. I am currently teaching in a secondary school where I’ve had the opportunity to teach at the KS3, 4, & 5 levels.
Tutoring Experience
I have experience in teaching Years 7-11 in all sciences - Biology, Chemistry, Physics. I offer GCSE tutoring in all three subjects, as well as the combined science GCSE. My specialism is in Biology, and I teach and tutor Biology AS and A level.
Lesson Planning
I have a wealth of experience and resources to draw from, which has frequently helped me to teach the most complex of ideas to students who have previously struggled to understand. Prior to the session, I like to agree on the next teaching session so that it allows me enough time to prepare the appropriate resources.
Exam Board Experience
All GCSE experience is with AQA, and A-level content is with OCR
