In my time as a student so far I’ve experimented with a many of science-based study techniques and various revision methods until I found strategies that are both effective and adaptable for me personally. This is something that I also would like to share and explore with each of my students to allow them to not only reach academic success in upcoming exams but also to build confidence and effective study habits which they can apply in the future.

I structure lessons by first defining clear learning objectives to ensure the student knows what they’ll achieve by the end of the session. I start with a brief review of previous material to assess prior knowledge, followed by introducing the new topic in whatever way each student finds the most high yield and engaging. I would like lessons to include lots of practice questions which we can do together and then at the end I assign independent tasks, allowing the student to apply the knowledge on their own while I provide feedback and support.
