Kate W

Hi, my name is Kate and I have been tutoring for many years. English is my passion and I specialise in teaching Language, Literature and English as a foreign language. My approach is friendly and supportive and I am very aware of the importance of good working relationships with my students and their families. I have a first class degree in English and Creative Writing, and a Masters with distinction in English Literature. I also have taken and passed the CELTA qualification. In addition I am a published and award-winning author, and my books for children and young adults have been translated into Dutch, German and Turkish.

I have been tutoring for over 15 years. In that time I have helped students of all ages and abilities and my results are very good. I also work with an Oxford language school and another language school in Romania.

I tailor my lessons around my students' needs, which are indentified in an introductory lesson. I adjust these as lessons progress. I am happy to set homework and to answer questions outside of lessons.
