Lewis I

My teaching methodology revolves around personalising the pace and learning material to each of my students. Like the teachers I’ve had, my goal is not just to get my students to pass a test, but to equip them with skills to be able to excel in any challenge they’re faced with. I believe that students work best in a supportive and positive environment where they are encouraged to be creative in their approach to learning.

I am a new tutor, however I have over 5 years of experience as a Karate instructor, which has developed key communication and teaching skills within me.

I have a laid-back approach to tutoring. I set minimal homework, believing that excelling in studies comes from splitting large tasks into small challenges. I intend to meet with my students once a week for an hour or two, working on building confidence and addressing weaknesses in an empowering way.

I only have experience with the SQA exam board.
