My teaching is unique to each student, I can cover the whole curriculum and identify the areas in which the student is competent at and those which they may need more focus on. I will make lesson plans for each session, including worked examples and questions for the student to have a go at after the session. In the lesson we can go also over any questions that the student has got wrong and needs additional help with and work towards any tests or exams coming up.

I've always found maths very enjoyable and throughout school and college I would help friends and peers who were struggling with the subject. I'm very patient and if one way of explaining something to a student doesn't work for them I am happy to try another way until they fully understand.

Before the first lesson I will ask the current level of the student and what they are working towards, for example a specific grade or which exam board. I make a lesson plan for every session, this will include an overview of the topic, some worked examples starting from the basics working up to the most difficult questions. I will work through some of the worked examples with the student as well as getting them to attempt some questions themselves. I will set the student homework questions with answers provided and model answers if desired.
