About Lisande
Biography
Mature, experienced tutor in biology, mathematics and chemistry. Proven results with past students. Also happy to assist in a few other subjects like business management, economics and psychology. Hold a BCom degree in business and quantitative management, a BSc (Hons) In Applied Medical Sciences and currently studying Medicine.
Tutoring Experience
Over 10 years of tutoring experience from homeschooled children to those sitting A-levels, GCSEs and IB. Assisted students in achieving the best of their abilities, whether that is a C or an A* does not matter to me as long as it is their best. Have taught a range of students ages 13-19. Have experience teaching children with learning disabilities such as dyslexia and dyscalcula.
Lesson Planning
I work with the student and parent to create a system which works best for them. We can either work session to session on trouble areas they are currently having in lessons or I can prepare lesson plans to cover their weak areas and solidify their strengths.
Student Success Stories
I worked with a chemistry GSCE student who was achieving an E 6 months before the final exam and helped him to end up with an A.
Another student of mine with dyslexia and dyscalcula ended up with a B for her maths final exams in the American GCSE equivalents. I also assisted students in maintaining their A or going up to A*.
