I have been working as a one-to-one tutor for the last 3 years, focusing on helping students improve their English Language and Literature skills for the new GCSE courses. Before this, I worked in sixth form colleges (ten years experience), teaching English Language GCSE and English Literature A level.

I have 3 years working with individual students, either at their house or mine, helping them to reach the top grades, or simply helping them to improve a specific aspect of the course. I have also taught large classes at GCSE and A level and have worked with students of all abilities.

I choose engaging and stimulating material so that you can concentrate on the skills we are working on. I aim to break the session into separate chunks, usually reading first, then talking, then writing, then looking at an A grade answer, then having another go.

I am very familiar with the recent AQA and Edexcel English GCSE 9-1 exams and have also worked with students on Igcse Edexcel and Wjec papers.
