Biography
I am a Second Year Physics student at Imperial College London. I achieved 3 A*s at A-Level in Maths, Further Maths and Physics, and 10 A*s at GCSE. I am fairly new to professional tutoring but have provided lessons to a number of A-level students in the past. I am flexible with my teaching approach and am keen to tailor my method to be as effective as possible for each student. I aim to build confidence in my tutees by providing a clear method for approaching each type of question encountered in exams, and have a strong focus on supporting the learning of key areas and improving grades close to the exam period. Having studied maths and physics to a high level I am confident in my ability to clearly explain base concepts that can help tutees feel much more comfortable in solving complex problems.
Tutoring Experience
I am fairly new to professional tutoring but have provided lessons to a number of A-level students in the past who have gone on to perform well.
Lesson Planning
I am flexible with my teaching approach and am keen to tailor my method to be as effective as possible for each student. I like to review the aims of the student so that I can correctly address their needs. This will typically involve identifying areas of the exam specification where they need help to catch up or see an opportunity to excel. I then plan and focus tuition effort on these key areas. Generally I plan to work through questions together in the sessions and suggest effective ways to tackle common question types and help to eradicate any misconceptions.
Exam Board Experience
I studied Edexcel A level maths and further maths and AQA physics. I am very happy to teach other exam boards as I like to take a thorough look at the specification and past papers for each tutee in any case.
