I have 15 years experience of teaching Chemistry, Science and Maths in High School's in and around Chester. My specialism is Chemistry and I can offer support in Chemistry at A level and Scottish Highers S6. I work with students to ensure they achieve their target grade, although I do encourage them to aim higher. I provide powerpoints/notes for some topics to consolidate learning and exam style questions to assess progress in topics and units. I am familiar with a range of exam boards - AQA, EDEXCEL, OCR, WJEC, iGCSE and am an examiner for Chemistry with EDEXCEL. I am DBS registered online.

I am DBS registered online.I have taught in local High schools and tutored pupils after school hours for over10 years. Most of the students I have taught have been through recommendation and I have taught their younger siblings too. I am familiar with a number of exam board specifications, although the science and maths is the same, how we apply knowledge may be different. I have learned that flexibility is key as all students have different needs.

I usually carryout a baseline assessment to assess a students learning. This, together with what a student should know, informs lesson planning. I also ask students what they feel they need help with. I will often provide work for students to have a go in their own time, this can be completed and sent to me for me to mark and give feedback.
