Matthew M

Hi! I'm Matthew and I am studying Music at the University of Cambridge. I am a passionate academic and practicing musician, singing in the world-renowned Choir of St. John's College, Cambridge. Alongside my expertise in music, I am passionate about literature and religious studies. My teaching style is one which focuses on critical thinking and nurturing perceptive critical views. Within sessions, I approach every student holistically, catering to their particular skills and barriers.

I have lots of experience in tuition and I am passionate about education. I work with the children day-to-day, nurturing their academic and, particularly, musical approaches. I have guided many students through GCSE examinations and have a high success rate. I am well-versed in the university admissions process, and, having been successful myself, I am very knowledgeable in the Oxbridge process.

My lessons are built on the particular needs of each and every student. It is crucial to understand a student's difficulties, and once identified, these can be focussed on and problem-solved. Working through these areas, homework can be set to consolidate knowledge and ensure confidence in moving forward.
