Meray A

I am a Biomedical Sciences graduate who is now doing a second degree in Medicine. In between the two degrees I was a course manager and teacher for an Access to higher education course where I heavily taught chemistry, biology and maths. I like to approach every class and student differently as I understand that students learn in various approaches. I use a vary of quizzes, lectures, powerpoints, class work and q&a techniques to stimulate and engage my students. I monitor work by providing worksheets to do outside of classes.

I have been a teacher and course manager at a college for a year where I taught classes chemistry, biology and maths to higher education students. My students all progressed to university that year making it the most successful year for the college for Access students.

I like to approach every class and student differently as I understand that students learn in various approaches. I use a vary of quizzes, lectures, powerpoints, classwork and q&a techniques to stimulate and engage my students. I monitor work by providing worksheets to do outside of classes. First lesson will be a get to know the student and tutor session where I would discuss what they would like from tutoring and where they would like to be. Regular assessment would be needed to understand the level the student is and to target weak spots throughout the year.
