Having taught for the last 18 years, I have gained valuable experience which I love to pass on to my students. When tutoring my aim is to give students the skills that will help them learn independently. Independent learning is key as retention equates to 90% of the topic learnt. I have a degree in Mathematics, PGCE in Mathematics and I have been an examiner for the last 14 years. I examine GCSE papers for OCR, Edexcel, WJEC and AQA. I also examine functional skills for Edexcel.

I have been tutoring Maths for 20 years. This includes one to one, online and face to face. I also tutor in small groups.

Lessons focuses on students weakness in certain topics and helping them strengthen their understanding of the topic with various methods. Students get to apply what they have learnt through the use of past exam questions.

Since 2009 I have been marking exams for Edexcel followed by OCR, AQA and WJEC.

When tutoring students I instill hardworking ethics. Through hard work and loads of practice my students are able to gain valuable confidence when it comes to sitting exams. When a student has confidence they are enabled to achieve above their targeted grades. Students who sit the higher paper most of the time achieve one or two grades above target. One of my recent students was targeted a grade 7, after tuition he expected a grade 8 but eventually got a grade 9.
