Olivia C

Tutor with experience teaching children ages 5-11 and tutoring up to GCSE. Due to the nature of my study, I am highly skilled at planning and delivering lessons to children of all ages.

I have previously tutored primary and secondary students in both English and maths. I have also successfully tutored students through their 11+ exams, ensuring their place at schools such as Loreto Grammar in Altrincham. Additionally, as a trainee teacher, I have taught in a variety of primary school classrooms; finding that I am particularly skilled in conveying complex ideas in a clear, easy to understand, manner.

The structure of my lessons usually involves an introductory task; for example, a quiz recapping our previous lesson. This is followed by the main activity which involves a mixture direct teaching, modelling and independent work suited to the student. Finally, I end my lessons with an evaluation task which consolidates learning.
