Onora M

My name is Onora, and I am in my final year at school studying A Level Maths, English Literature and Fashion Textiles. My motto is that no one is bad at maths, they just haven't yet found the right explanation yet for themselves. I understand that maths is a subject that for many people can be intimidating just from hearing its name, and I hope to change people's perception of the subject and of their abilities, through finding unique ways for each individual to understand concepts. With my love for the subject, I hope to make maths more accessible to students through tackling topics in a way which is fun and creates a firm understanding which is easily remembered and revised for future exams.

I have had some informal experience through tutoring my younger sister and her classmate. They were having difficulties understanding parts of the GCSE Maths Syllabus that had just been introduced to them, and I gave them a few brief lessons together on topics such as trigonometry and quadratics. I also helped going over the homework questions that they were struggling with, and helped each of them make clear notes so that the information they learnt could be easily accessed during revision.
