My successful education hasn't come without difficulty, as I didn't take to schooling particularly well in my early years. Since then I have endeavoured to strive to improve myself at every available opportunity, starting with joining the British Army as 17 and entering into a specialist communications trade. From there I worked hard to excel as a professional soldier, eventually choosing to change to the more traditional trade of vehicle mechanic. The evolution of my role would have seen me attaining an HND in engineering, though I decided to focus on my trade rather than soldiering and so I returned to civilian life. After 3 years of trade focused experience, I felt it was time to return to full time education and study for my bachelors degree in engineering. Following my time studying, I have worked in manufacturing and since returned to working as a commercial vehicle technician. Though I didn't appreciate just how important a good education can be, I have come to see that learning of any kind is invaluable regardless of your walk of life as it helps you to negotiate every facet of daily life. As a difficult student, I have beneffited from the time and patience of several great teachers and tutors. Now I feel it's time to begin passing on the knowledge I have gained with their help.
