Sophie H

Hi I'm Sophie a Biochemistry and Molecular medicine graduate from the University of Nottingham. I have many years of tutoring experience, a teaching diploma and am currently working as a Project Manager in the Scientific sector. I will be teaching KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-Level. I create personalised planners, PowerPoints and homework that are tailored to each individual student to help get the best out of you, I also include revision support as well as being able to provide additional lessons on career building, CV writing and personal statements if needed.

As a previous GCSE, A-Level and University student in STEM I understand that some ways of explaining things are not suited to all, and it takes different styles of learning and explaining to fully understand concepts needed to improve and pass exams. I have been tutoring for both Biology and Chemistry and my students all enjoy the visual learning I produce for them .

I will always talk to you first and gather how you are feeling about exams, topics, parts you are confident in and weaknesses you may have. Giving you a chance to shape your lessons based on topics you find tough. I provide handmade and personalised Power-Points, diagrams, exam prep and confidence building practice questions for you to learn in a way that suits you individually.
