Tishaani G

In my A levels, I achieved A* in Edexcel Maths, A in OCR A Chemistry and a A* in OCR A Biology.

Within my mentoring role, I undertook the responsibilities of assessing classwork, providing thoughtful feedback, and supporting students in their learning journey. This practice allowed me to cultivate a keen eye for detail whilst also encouraging a supportive environment of growth and development. I consistently engaged with students in a respectful manner, helping them navigate challenges while maintaining a positive rapport. Just as importantly, I recognized the significance of continuous improvement in my teaching methods and communication and helped incorporate that as the mentoring sessions continued.

I believe it's important to do an initial assessment to identify the student's strengths and weaknesses and allow the student to identify what areas they would like to do most. I will use an iPad to show drawings and workings out. Whether the students wants content based, exam question based or both, I'll ensure there is enough practice and familiarisation with the exam board to ensure they reach the grades they want!
